When I first started this substack I used to send what I called a weekly delight during the week. I stopped doing them but now they are back!
The weekly delight is a random collection of my musings that no one asked for but you’ll get them because I believe they are delightful and I think you deserve delightful things.
The weekly delight can include poems, photos, audio, or things I’ve found on the internet. It can be things that are funny, sad, or don’t make sense. Really it’s just a way for me to share my thoughts because I have a lot of them.
Onto the delights…
The poem
This poem was inspired by having to spend most of my time at work instead of coloring and writing this newsletter. I’m calling it, I’m tired of work
I’m tired of work
I am tired of work
I heard my friend say they are tired of work
I heard my neighbor say she’s tired of work
Everyone is tired of work
Except for the people who say we have to work
The people who say we have to work don’t have to work
So it seems like if the people who work say they are tired of work
We should stop working
The art
This poem inspired me to color these pieces
The thing I found on the internet
It’s International Women’s Day and I found this really cool post on instagram from Muchacha Fanzine with women being absolutely iconic
The video
I wrote an ad/public service announcement (PSA) for the cure of fascism which I’m not selling because it is free. Let me know if I should film the PSA and I will.
That’s it for the delights!
If you enjoy my writing and would like me to film that PSA/ad I wrote, please tip me, become a patron, or become a paying subscriber below.
