I hope you aren’t eating pop tarts or anything else on the image above because we are boycotting Kellogg’s. Now let’s get to the news that made me angry, sad, and glad.
News that made me angry
On December 7th Congress authorized the pentagon to spend $768,000,000,000 in the fiscal year 2022 through the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). More like the national offense authorization act. Am I right? Sorry for the dad joke, but I just couldn’t help it. This news makes me very angry because when it comes to being destructive, the United States government’s wallet is open, and it’s offensive to even mention the word budget. How dare you question the cost of defending this great country? By defending they mean defending the US wealthy elite from other countries saying no to having their resources plundered. Meanwhile, when we ask for a tiny weeny stimulus during a global pandemic, we are on a tight budget. “The United States government spends more than the next 11 countries combined” on the military while Web MD is most people’s primary care doctor. The purpose of imperialism is to fill rich people’s pockets through large military contracts and resource plundering all over the globe at the expense of all of us and the climate. Yep, US military activities are responsible for putting more greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere than 171 countries combined and you freaking out because your doc Web MD just told you the rash on your arm is a flesh eating bacteria. This is why US imperialism is bad for everyone.
