Feel the News has moved to Substack!
Different look, same newsletter
Hi comrades,
I’m writing to let you know that the Feel the News newsletter has moved to Substack. I moved to Substack because it is a much better interface for reading old posts and it allows users to comment! Substack will also allow me to start a paid subscription model for the newsletter. Don’t worry there’s still a free option. It’s been really hard for me to finally create a paid subscription model because I hate the idea of commodifying my art, but unfortunately hating capitalism doesn’t exempt me from having to live in it. I want to be able to be a fulltime comedian and writer without having to acquiesce to what capitalists want me to say. This means that I have to ask you the people who enjoy my content to support my work if you can.
How will the subscription model work?
The good news is that there will still be a free Feel the News newsletter where free subscribers get one story. Paying subscribers get all three stories and an additional newsletter which I’m calling Wednesday Delight. Every Wednesday I’ll send you a piece of writing from me that isn’t necessarily news related. This can be a personal essay, short scripts, random musings, or whatever I feel like writing. You can read some of my humor pieces on Slackjaw!

Patrons ($5 and above) receive the complete Feel the News and Wednesday Delight
What if I can’t afford a subscription but I really want to keep getting all three stories?
If you cannot afford to be a paying subscriber, please let me know and I’ll give you a free subscription to the complete Feel the News. No questions asked.
When will my subscription status matter?
I will send the first newsletter from Substack on November 28th. That newsletter will have all three stories and will give you the opportunity to opt into being a paying subscriber. This would also be the time to let me know if you can’t afford a subscription so I can give you a free one. Email me at marcela@feelthenews.com
