Eric Adams doesn't want you to film the cops

News that got me to ask my husband about Terminator
Eric Adams, a man who is a constant reminder that things can always get worse, said “there would be no tolerance for people filming the police closely because it creates a dangerous environment”. I would personally say the existence of the police is creating a dangerous environment, but I’m not a cop cosplaying as a mayor. However, I can translate cop speak. Eric Adams doesn’t want you to film the police because filming the police will create further evidence that ACAB. I’m sure Eric Adams wouldn’t mind it if you filmed the police saving a kitten from a tree, which would never happen because monsters famously hate kittens.
Eric Adams claims people create a “dangerous environment” when they film the cops who are trying to de-escalate situations, which doesn’t make any sense. We know cops de-escalate volatile situations as well as a middle school bully, they create the volatile situation. By de-escalating situations, Eric Adams meant violating someone’s rights to maintain a system that only serves the capitalist class. I’m really great at translating cop speak, right? I’ll continue. Eric Adams also said that other things that will not be tolerated are yelling police brutality or calling cops other names while they are trying to do their job. What he means to say here is that cops are weak monsters who don’t want to be reminded that their job is evil while they are doing it because it hurts their feelings.
Eric Adam’s obsession with you not filming the cops might have something to do with the fact that he doesn’t have a soul and that he resurrected the plain clothes unit force which is known for being extremely violent. He doesn’t want you to catch his T-1000s doing what their real job is. Yes, I had to ask my husband who the evil robot in Terminator 2 was to write this joke.
News that reminded me that I’m petty
Chris Cuomo is asking for 125 million dollars for being “wrongfully terminated from CNN” and now I’m looking for a job at CNN so I too can be wrongfully terminated. I too would like to demand a small fortune for being fired from a job of gaslighting the public into believing we don’t live in hell every day. Just kidding, there is no amount of money that’s worth being a mouthpiece for the capitalist class because money isn't real but lies are. Anyway, Chris is saying he was unfairly fired for helping is brother Andrew Cuomo, the sex predator turned author, fight the sexual assault allegations because CNN was helping Andrew too. Chris said that other CNN anchors have a history of using their positions to help their friends who are in trouble. This is the soap opera that I didn’t know I needed. Call me petty but I love it when one of these jerks who reinforce this dystopian hell don’t get what they want and turn on each other in public. I’m hoping that one day this public display of bad behavior will finally convince everyone that all these politicians and talking heads are enablers of the capitalist class who laugh at us over brunch every day for not figuring them out. Yes, they have brunch every day because that’s just what basic people with unlimited resources do.
News that made me happy
Amazon warehouse workers walked out of work to protest against low wages; they want a 3 dollar raise, which is how much Bezos snorts every zeptosecond. You heard it here first, Bezos’ evil soul is kept alive by snorting money. That’s why he needs so much of it. Anyway, if you read this newsletter, you already know that workers standing up for themselves makes me almost as happy as seeing rich people get hurt. The only reason why I say “almost as happy” is because I’ve never actually seen a rich person get hurt so I don’t really know how much I would like it. So if you have footage of Chris Cuomo crying as he was being fired, please send me that footage because it would answer the age old question: Does Marcela get more joy from rich people getting hurt or workers standing up for themselves?
Anyways, this isn’t about me and my pettiness, this is about Amazon workers recognizing that 17 dollars an hour isn’t enough. I would argue there is no wage that is high enough to pay for you selling your freedom to some corporate overlord, but we live in hell so I have to lower my standards much like women who date men have to. Sorry fellows, my heterosexual woman friends have been telling me that y’all are just not doing the work and I believe them. Sorry I digress again. I hope that this walkout is the beginning of Amazon workers getting better pay and hopefully one day reclaiming Jeff Bezos’ yacht.
